Your Part

OSM is building the optimization layer for energy. You build how we find the problems where optimization creates material value, earn the trust of the teams operating those systems, and turn the first deployment into a repeatable motion. Priorities shift fast, your focus will too.

• Own go-to-market end to end across outbound, content, events, partnerships, and whatever moves the needle
• Own the technical sale from discovery with energy asset owners, utilities, traders, and industrial operators through value modeling and deployment scoping
• Build the AI and automation behind the motion, so one person sells like a team of ten

Your Profile

• First or second commercial hire at an energy, industrial, infrastructure, or deep-tech company, before and through product-market fit, with deals you sourced and closed yourself
• Have sold complex technical products to operational and technical buyers and can walk us through a deal you won and one you lost, and what each changed about how you sell
• High agency and relentless when a deal stalls or the plan stops working
• Genuinely curious about energy markets, physical assets, operational constraints, and mathematical optimization. You do not need energy fluency on day one, but you must want to go deep because this product cannot be sold on charm
• Flexibility to travel between SF and Europe

About OSM

Energy is a chain of connected optimization problems. Capacity plans shape market exposure. Forecasts and bids shape asset schedules. Prices, grid limits, contracts, and asset state change dispatch. Optimizing each step in isolation leaves value behind.

OSM builds production optimization software for energy. We turn operational data, forecasts, objectives, and constraints into models for capacity planning, day-ahead bidding, storage scheduling, and power dispatch. Exact formulations return feasibility and optimality evidence with the result.

We are an all-technical team of ex-quantum researchers, mathematicians, and database engineers. We do foundational optimization and database research and put it into production. In 2026, two papers behind OSM were accepted at VLDB.
